About Dr. Knight

Dr. Knight is a postdoctoral fellow pursuing licensure in California. She has a decade of experience in the mental health field, with a wealth of clinical experience across inpatient and outpatient settings. This includes University of California San Diego hospital consult-liaison service, Sharp Mesa Vista partial hospitalization program for adolescents, and community mental health. She is adept at treating patients across all stages of life with a variety of diagnoses and needs, including depression, anxiety, trauma, chronic medical illness, medical trauma, and grief processing.

Dr. Knight’s collaborative and patient-centered approach is rooted in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Motivational Interviewing (MI). She utilizes evidence-based treatments to take a holistic approach to therapy informed by cultural humility and a biopsychosocial lens.

Dr. Knight is passionate about providing care to underserved communities and has experience treating neurodiverse patients and those who identify as LQBTQIA+. Her compassionate and inclusive approach fosters a safe and welcoming environment for all patients, empowering them to achieve their personal goals.
