Current Opening:

The Neuropsychological Testing Technician will work under the supervision of neuropsychologists and psychologists in administering and scoring a wide range of neuropsychological tests (training would be provided). The technician would work directly with adult patients experiencing psychiatric or neurological conditions, administering tests to measure their cognitive and psychological functioning.

 

Job Duties:

  • Administer standardized batteries of cognitive tests to adult patients.
  • Accurately score the tests and prepare score summary tables for the supervising neuropsychologist.
  • Maintain the test inventory and organization of materials.
  • Work directly with the supervising neuropsychologists and psychologists as well as administrative staff to ensure optimal communication regarding upcoming appointments and patient needs.
  • Attend weekly staff meetings.

 

Job Requirements:

  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Psychology (Master’s-level preferred. If licensed as a counselor, there would be additional opportunities to provide treatment services to patients).
  • Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
  • Prior experience as a testing technician preferred, but not required. Training will be provided on the job.
  • Spanish-speaking preferred.

 

This is a part-time (3 days per week) position. However, full time hours are available if the technician can also work as an administrative assistant on the other two days, assisting our scheduler and biller with their tasks. Additionally, candidates who are licensed counselors experienced with working with adult populations seen at this clinic would have the opportunity to work as a therapist/counselor and neuropsychological testing technician. Pay is based on level of experience, and starts at $24/hour for entry-level. Medical, dental, 401K, and wellness benefits available for full-time employees.
