About Alysia
Alysia DeFrancisco is a California Psychological Associate who provides psychotherapy and assessment with adults experiencing trauma, anxiety, depression, ADHD, Autism, and relational difficulties. Throughout her doctoral experiences, has developed her clinical experience in intensive treatment settings working with individuals navigating complex trauma, emotional dysregulation, and significant life stressors. Through this work, she gained extensive experience in crisis intervention, comprehensive psychological assessment, and helping individuals develop practical skills for emotional regulation, distress tolerance, and healthier interpersonal functioning.
Her therapeutic approach is trauma-informed and grounded in evidence-based practices, including cognitive-behavioral and strengths-based interventions. She works collaboratively with clients to better understand the underlying patterns and experiences contributing to emotional distress while helping them develop practical strategies for coping, emotional regulation, and healthier relationships. She has experience treating a range of concerns including anxiety, depression, trauma-related disorders, ADHD, chronic stress, self-esteem challenges, and family or interpersonal conflict.
She believes that meaningful therapeutic work begins with a strong, supportive relationship. She strives to create a compassionate and nonjudgmental environment where clients feel comfortable exploring difficult experiences and working toward lasting emotional growth and resilience.
