Seeking a motivated, detail-oriented, bright individual to start part-time (15-20 hours/week) as an Administrative Assistant for a thriving mental health practice. This would likely grow into a full-time position within the next year. The Administrative Assistant would provide support to our Patient Care Coordinator and our Biller.
Pay is based on level of experience. Opportunities for bonuses and increased pay based on merit. This is a flexible opportunity with strong potential for growth and longevity within this psychological practice. Hybrid in-office and remote teleworking available.
Job duties include:
- Data entry and filing
- Make reminder calls to patients for upcoming appointments
- Calling insurance companies to verify benefits for new patients
- Sending and receiving records
- Assisting patients with administrative requests (ex: following up on prescription requests for psychiatry, following up on authorizations for treatment)
- Track license and liability insurance expirations for all providers
- Assisting Biller with filing claims
Job requirements:
- Strong attention to detail
- Assertive communication skills
- Data entry within Microsoft Excel, Word, and EHR programs (we use Valant)
- Fluent in Spanish (many of our patients are Spanish-speaking only)
- Located in San Diego, CA
Skills preferred:
- Experience with bookkeeping or accounting
- Experience with medical coding
- Experience working in healthcare
